Domestic wastewater is monitored in coordination with checking of indicator six.two.one on safely and securely managed sanitation that also estimates containment, emptying, transport and remedy of wastewater and faecal sludge. Wastewater from economic functions is monitored by UN-Habitat and ambient water high-quality by UNEP GEMS-Water initiative.
